Every so often, I come across something that reminds me of Vicki... today was one of those days. I found a card she had sent to me, a housewarming wish. These moments stop me in my tracks. Vicki was such a sweet, loving friend. I miss her.

"I had a dream about Vicki last night. She came to visit me here in Arkansas. We spent all of our time going from coffee shop to coffee shop, one after another, having coffee together. Vicki loved her coffee! There's a lot of coffee shops in Northwest Arkansas, she would have loved it. So, tonight, as we are experiencing the COLDEST weather so far this winter, I am cuddled up under the incredible warmth of the beautiful blanket that Vicki made for me as a housewarming gift when I moved here....

Vicki and I met while we were working at the Lab. We were often working side by side, all the while talking. Once Vicki retired, we would meet for lunch, coffee. Popping into the Cheese Shop was one of our favorite things! I miss Vicki, her stories of her family- how exciting firefighting is, reminders to get my theater tickets for her son's next show, and ALWAYS pictures of her newest creations.
